Social counselling

Social counselling is provided in accordance with the Municipalities’ Social Services Act. Its purpose is to provide both information and guidance on social rights, and support for social and personal problems.

The Welfare Department operates a counselling centre where social workers respond to enquiries, provide guidance and counselling, and manage bookings for further consultations if necessary, e.g. due to special difficulties, or further support services.

The contact number to phone is 441 0000 to request a telephone consultation with a social worker in the counselling centre.
